Career Profile
People are naturally drawn to various jobs based on their unique personalities. Our RIASEC based career assessment allows you to determine your personality type. Each letter in the acronym RIASEC (also called Holland codes) corresponds to a particular personality, i.e. Realistic, Investigative, Artistic, Social, Enterprising, and Conventional respectively.

i. Go to Career Profile in the Menu bar.
ii. Scroll down and click on the ‘Start’ button to take the assessment
iii. The Assessment contains 60 questions.
Read the questions carefully and answer each question honestly but spontaneously. Avoid trying to manipulate the results to fit a certain outcome. You can even skip a question if you are not sure about it.
iv. After you answer all the questions, you will get your RIASEC score (Holland Codes)
The RIASEC model, categorizes individuals into six personality types based on their interests, values, and skills. These types are:
- Realistic (R): Individuals who are practical, hands-on, and enjoy working with tools and machinery.
- Investigative (I): Individuals who are analytical, curious, and enjoy solving complex problems.
- Artistic (A): Individuals who are creative, expressive, and enjoy working in unconventional ways.
- Social (S): Individuals who are empathetic, nurturing, and enjoy helping and interacting with others.
- Enterprising (E): Individuals who are ambitious, persuasive, and enjoy leading and influencing others.
- Conventional (C): Individuals who are organized, detail-oriented, and enjoy working with data and systems.
Consider the top three highest-scoring categories, which happen to be Enterprising, Social and Realistic in this specific example. Your top three categories reflect the areas where you naturally excel and find fulfillment.
v. You can also download the certificate with your RIASEC score by clicking on the download button.

i. Go to the Course Catalog in the Menu bar.
ii. Use the filtering tool to find the suitable careers for your personality type.
iii. Based on your RIASEC Assessment score, put your RIASEC personality type in the filter to know about the career options suitable for you.
We encourage you to consider the top three highest scoring categories. These categories reflect areas where you naturally excel and find fulfillment. By focusing on these primary strengths, you can align your career choices more closely with your personality and aspirations.

iv. Additionally, you can explore career clusters that match your RIASEC personality type
For instance, if you have an Enterprising personality, you might find career clusters like Business Management and Administration, as well as Marketing, to be a good fit for you.
Note – When the Career Cluster drop down shows ‘0’, it indicates that these clusters are not compatible with the RIASEC personality type you have selected.
v. You can also discover the academic domain, field, and subject that match your RIASEC personality type or your chosen career cluster.
vi. Even with knowledge of all the career options, you might still feel lost if you lack understanding of certain subjects.
